Trump was at a rally in Miami on Friday and amidst other things, Trump suggested that all of Hillary Clinton’s bodyguards should disarm because of Hillary’s opinions on gun control.
Trump said, “She’s very much against the Second Amendment. She wants to destroy your Second Amendment. Guns, guns, guns, right? I think what we should do is, she goes around with armed bodyguards like you have never seen before. I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons, they should disarm. I think they should disarm immediately.”
“Take their guns away,” he continued. “She doesn’t want guns. Let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away, OK, it would be very dangerous.”
A statement was released on Friday night in which the campaign manager of Hillary for America, Robby Mook said Trump’s statement was aimed at “inciting people to violence”
“It is an unacceptable quality in anyone seeking the job of Commander in Chief,” he said.
“This kind of talk should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate,” Mook added. “[Trump] is unfit to be President and it is time Republican leaders stand up and denounce this disturbing behavior in their nominee.”
This is not the first time Trump has made statements towards Hillary. In January Trump challenged Hillary to disarm all her bodyguards to prove the point that not only guns can increase one’s safety. Just in August he said the “Second Amendment people” should assassinate Hillary if she eventually gets elected and appoints judges to the Supreme Court.
