It is a well known fact that President Obama is rooting for Hillary Clinton. The shocking news however is that he wants all African-Americans to vote for Hillary as well. He says their voting for Hillary is a way of “protecting his legacy.”

He said this as he delivered a speech at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. He said though he might not be a candidate, Hillary is the candidate to continue with his legacy if she comes into power. He said the issues of importance to the black community, which include justice, good schools and ending mass incarceration, could only be fully implemented with Hillary in power.

The president said, “I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election.” “You want to give me a good send-off, go vote,” he added.

At the same dinner Clinton appealed to all African-Americans and warned them of the “dangerous and divisive vision” that will come from her Republican opponent Donald Trump.

The gala featured about four dozen members of the Congress and all understood that Clinton needs a large turnout of black voters to win in the elections. This was what happened in the case of Obama as his two victories he had his two victories when the African-American voters were about 13%.
