Manchester United have signed teenage Dutch winger Millen Baars.
Manchester United have reportedly all-but concluded a deal to ensnare prodigious Dutch attacking midfielder Millen Baars from Ajax, according to Ajax Show Time.
The versatile forward is still only 16 but is adjudged as one of the rising stars of the game in the European country and has learned his trade at the fabled Ajax youth academy.
It is believed that deal to bring Baars to the Premier League close to being announced, with the midfielder travelling to England to link up with his new club.
The teenager was set to captain the Ajax under-17 team this season but part of the reason he is moving to Old Trafford is said to be down to a fallout with the coaches at the Amsterdam outfit.
Baars is predominantly a left winger but the starlet can also feature on the other flank if needed.
He will follow in the footsteps of both Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Daley Blind in joining the Premier League side from Ajax in recent years.
Baars will instead hope to follow the footsteps of Marcus Rashford, who has illuminated the Red Devils since making his debut at Old Trafford.
Rashford is one of the most precocious young talents in world football and is relishing the prospect of facing Chelsea on Sunday.
The 18-year-old started against Liverpool on Monday and thinks ‘the bigger the games are, the better’.
‘You never know how the game is going to be until you get out there but I think it’s important we get into the game and start fast,’ said Rashford.
‘That’s what we did against Liverpool, we got into their faces and showed we weren’t going to be pushed around, and we need to go there with a similar attitude.
‘The bigger the games are, the better for us.’
