talian champions Juventus are to make a January bid for Liverpool and Manchester City target Mahmoud Dahoud.
Both the Premier League clubs have been interested in the 20-year old Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder for some time but it looks like Juventus are to make the first steps to sign him.
According to reports in today’s media, Juventus are poised to bid £13.5 million for Dahoud who still has two years left to run on his current deal. Dahoud has a £8.4 million release clause which can be activated in the summer of 2017 but Juventus are hoping to get ahead of both Liverpool and City in the race for his signature.
Dahoud has made 53 appearances for Monchengladbach during his three years at the club and has scored five goals. He can operate as a deep-lying midfielder of in the number ten role.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will know all about Dahoud from his time at Borussia Dortmund. So too will City boss Pep Guardiola who has raided the Bundesliga for players since his arrival in Manchester.
Guardiola has already signed Leroy Sane from Schalke and Ilkay Gundogan from Dortmund. He is thought to be an admirer of Monchengladbach’s young midfielder.
Monchengladbach may well be forced to sell Dahoud in January to get a decent price or risk losing his in the summer for much less.
