Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is set to be allowed to find a new club as first-team football becomes a commodity at Old Trafford, according to The Sun.
The France international joined the Red Devils from Southampton in a £24 million move last summer but has yet to replicate his star Saints performances for his current employers.
The appointment of Jose Mourinho and signing of Paul Pogba have seen Schneiderlin relegated to fringe status this season, with the Portuguese trainer preferring other players in his starting XI.
The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera have been ahead of the 26-year-old this season, with a five-minute substitute appearance against Bournemouth the sum of his Premier League exposure this season.
Schneiderlin was not short of suitors in his Southampton days and was linked consistently with North London sides Arsenal and Tottenham – who have since both added new central midfielders.
However, the latest report suggests that the Frenchman could be looking for a new club come January and that Mourinho is ready to part company with the fringe man.
