OWEN HARGREAVES reckons Liverpool’s versatility makes them special.
The Reds have got off to a flying start in the Premier League with seven wins, two draws and one defeat from their opening 10 matches.
Liverpool’s 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace ensured they kept pace with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table.
Jurgen Klopp has been spoilt for choice up front with the likes of Daniel Sturbridge and Divock Origi only making the bench.
The German has often started any three of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana as an attacking trio to lead the line.
And while the two Brazilians, Coutinho and Firmino, currently lead the goalscoring charts with five goals to their name, Mane is only one goal behind his team-mates.
Hargreaves believes Liverpool’s attacking threat is what makes them title-challengers.
“What makes this Liverpool team so special is that they are so versatile,” Hargreaves told BT Sport.
“They don’t rely on one player to get them goals: Firmino, Lallana, Mane and Coutinho. They’ve got so many attacking players.”
Liverpool will try to make it four wins on the trot when they host Watford on Sunday (2.15pm).
